In my last post I droned on and on how I was beginning to fall in love and how eager I was to see where it goes. Such folly. Silly me! In a nutshell, neither of us were getting what we wanted from the relationship. Time, commitment, the sense it was meant to be… yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah. Here goes…. Yum yum. But no… I do wish he finds luck and success. The dreamy Egyptian news reporter. Way too eager. Gave me tongue within the first five minutes of meeting.
That date ended fast. Two English engineers. Noticing a pattern? One married. No, thanks. The other one definitely a player. Commendable bedroom skills, though. The sound producer from London. We agreed to be friends. I absolutely adore him. A German photographer. Easy on the eyes. Super seductive powers No! I did not sleep with him… It was tempting, but No!
Then the Swede. Typical dream-boat Swede. First date was at the golf club. Taught me how to chip and put. Had a great time at the driving range. Most important, I really enjoyed his company. We still keep in touch. And finally a Canadian teacher. Funny dude. Great conversationalist. He had some lifestyle habits that really puzzled me.
However, he really valued his independence—like me. Was the high worth the pain? Perhaps… What I do know is there were a couple occasions when being with this guy was simply magical. Those were the first times in a long time it felt natural to open up, be in the moment, and actually love being alive. He made me feel vibrant, desirable, and really want to love again. I associate my happiest moments in Doha being with him.
So, sure…. Breaking up is hard to do. In fact, I deserve better. After the Dubai debacle , my average date per week has not been that bad. In the eight week period between Dubai and recently being an item with the Scot, I averaged 1. Here goes… There was the French-Italian guy. An engineer…. The Serbian interior designer.
