Happy Monday! Today's post is a fit request from Cindy who wanted to see a review of the size differences between Birkenstock's Soft Footbed Medium. I chose two different pairs that I was most interested in to try. For reference I typically wear size 5. They seem to be a perfect fit on you.
The 34 kids you reviewed in the past seems a bit too small? Hi Cindy, yeah looking back at the photos, now they do look a smidge too small, but they didn't feel small. I love the criss cross of the Lugano's. I've only ever tried on Birks. They look nice but feel super stiff and I don't wear sandals much and prefer sneakers.
Hi Janessa! The nubuck leather does feel stiff, but the suede was very soft! I prefer sneakers too. The footbed of Birks are pretty stiff to begin with and take time to break in.
And while they're not cushy like memory foam , When they do break in , the cork molds to your foot and feel like they were custom made for your feet. I wore mine around the house for a while then made sure i wore them out everytime I left the house during the break in process. One of the reasons I don't like wearing sandals is, my feet get dirty but for some reason , that doesn't happen with birks as much. That being said , not everyone's feet will work with Birks.
