I used to run a bar. She is taking forever to decide on drinks, keeps trying to get free shots, keeps trying to haggle on drinks prices, all while being rather rude. I start to get irate as the bar starts to get busy, with more and more customers trying to get drinks.
I was here first! Get the manager! I then start to serve the other customers who are patiently waiting, while my original customer sits there looking smug as anything. After I have calmed down the lines a little I return to the original customer:.
I said to go and get your manager! The look on her face was priceless. She began swearing at me profusely but by that point I had more than enough reason to throw her out of the bar, which I did, to the delight of the other patrons. I work in a large retail store. I see a group of women in the bath and toiletries section, each carrying one of our wicker baskets for sale, but also neatly accumulating and placing various toiletry products inside the baskets.
When the baskets look somewhat presentable, I see them place them on the shelf and walk away. I rush over to them. I am referring to a trend on TikTok to make gift baskets in retail stores and leave them on the shelves for people to buy and get for their partners, friends, etc.
They leave quiet and embarrassed as I start to return the items to their correct shelves. I worked in a print shop back when it was common for presentations to use big overhead projectors, and the presenter would use old-school plastic sheets called transparencies that would be projected on to the wall. A customer called in. I figured I could save money on plastic sheets. It took a while to explain to them why that was impossible. All the while, they insisted that I was just trying to get them to pay more than necessary.
