Welcome to our office, and thank you for choosing us as your Cheyenne ultrasound, pregnancy, and gynecologic care provider. We will also give you as much information as possible.
We are very proud to currently be the only AIUMβaccredited ultrasound department for obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound in the state of Wyoming. AIUM accreditation means that our ultrasound program has passed a rigorous evaluation including patient safety and comfort issues, sanitation, maintenance of reliable records, and proper training and continued education of doctors and ultrasonographers.
Our AIUM-accredited ultrasound department employs ultrasonographers who specialize and are registered in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. We have state-of-the-art ultrasound machines. All scans are interpreted by one of our board-certified obstetricians-gynecologists. Video taping for non-diagnostic purposes is not performed; however, keepsake still images of your baby will be provided via text and all images will be available in MyChart.
Please be aware that fetal position, or other anatomical factors, may limit our ability to obtain optimal keepsake images. We try to give 3D images during the fetal anatomy scan, but cannot guarantee image outcomes. All OB ultrasounds need to come with a full bladder. Gynecological or non-pregnant ultrasound need an empty bladder unless otherwise specified. It is also possible that you may be asked to empty your bladder during part of the examination, especially if a trans-vaginal probe is used.
Most of the time, your insurance is likely to cover the cost of the ultrasound examination that your doctor or health care provider has recommended. If the cost is not covered, you will become responsible for the charges, and will need to make arrangements in our business office for payment or to set up a payment plan.
