We want you to have the best experience possible when participating in our programs and utilizing our facilities. Our policies are designed to keep everyone happy and safe while also maintaining clean and functional facilities. If you have any questions about any of our policies, we encourage you to ask any RS staff member for assistance. All participants must have a valid membership or day pass to access Recreational Sports facilities and have a signed release from liability waiver on file.
Participants under the age of 16 must enter Recreational Sports facilities with their parent or legal guardian and be engaged in activity with direct supervision from their parent or legal guardian and remain in the immediate location of their parent and legal guardian at all times. Participants under the age of 16 are not allowed to participate in strength and cardio spaces or group exercise. Children who are non-swimmers are restricted to the shallowest part of the lap pool and cannot use the diving boards or diving well.
They should have their full attention on the child even if not in the water. Same sex parents should accompany children into locker rooms and restrooms. If same sex parent is not in attendance with the child, and that child is over the age of 6, the parent should wait immediately outside the locker room or restroom for their child. Statement of Responsibility: Neither Indiana University nor Campus Recreational Sports accepts any responsibility for ill health or injury sustained while participating in any of the programs.
No medical or ambulance expense incurred by a participant will be paid by Campus Recreational Sports or by the University. Participation is on a voluntary basis. It is recommended that all participants undergo a prior physical examination and carry some form of health and injury insurance. If an injury does occur, it should be reported to the nearest Recreational Sports staff member. In the event that blood is involved in an injury, that person cannot continue to participate until the wound is properly cleaned and dressed; any clothing with blood should be removed.
