CNN β An amateur fossil hunter has uncovered a disgusting yet amazing find on a beach in Denmark β a piece of animal vomit dating back 66 million years. A local museum says the man noticed a strange cluster of lily pieces in a piece of chalk. He brought the fossil to the museum, where it was cleaned and examined by a lily expert. The expert says the cluster contains at least two species of lilies in a round lump. That lump is likely the indigestible parts of lilies that were regurgitated by an animal that ate the plants.
The museum curator says it was likely a fish that vomited up parts of the lilies.
