Decades ago, people got down to the latest music at a joint called Rock Palace. Then, nothing. The palace shut down and remained shuttered for a generation or so. On March 1 the 5,square-foot venue is getting a fresh start and a new name: Colabo. A few preview shows are scheduled for February. A Billy Joel rock musical opens in March.

This move is part of a broader rebrand, announced in December. For licensed brand fanatics, BoxLunch is opening in March. The shop sells licensed and unlicensed merchandise, including t-shirts, toys, accessories and backpacks.
The shop has a charity give-back program, where it uses profits to fund meals through Feeding America. For bubble tea fiends, Daboba is opening in April. This tea boutique, with Taiwanese management, a Malaysian following, and locations across the U.
