This mastiff-type breed is traced most to the 14th century and the French city of โฆ Bordeaux! Their immensely powerful body is topped by a blocky head which produces a good amount of droolโjust another part of them to love. They should not be allowed to jump off surfaces higher than their back. With their very large frame, they could suffer damage to their spine in the process. The Dogue de Bordeaux has one alluring muzzle, but the flattened snout and nostrils โ known as brachycephalic characteristic โ can be problematic for the Dogue de Bordeaux.
