Full disclosure, I am a huge fan of Nate Bargatze, and I would totally benefit from more of the industry following the lead of what the Nateland Cruise is doing in regard to booking the comedians on its lineup.
Nate has become one of the biggest names in standup comedy over the last couple of years. He has hosted SNL twice within the last two years, he's had multiple Netflix specials released, and he tours the country performing in arenas.
Nate deserves all of his success. I've had the pleasure of opening for him in the past, and he is a genuinely nice dude. Bargatze's success is due in large part to his talent. He is an extremely funny comedian, and he does it without being offensive or vulgar. Clean comedy isn't the easiest. It might be the most palpable, but it doesn't always get the most laughs.
Nate has worked on and perfected an act and style that is both clean and hilarious. I celebrate Nate's success.
He's a good guy, a family man, and he takes care of his friends. He didn't sellout to an industry that seems to stay away from a style of comedy and type of person that the middle of the country might be more attracted to than the coastal elites.
