Lyons currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of South Florida and has mentored many fellows in the FOI adult reconstruction fellowship program for over 20 years. He has been involved in the development of both hip and knee implants over his career and currently is a co-designer of one of the most popular knee replacement designs globally, with Zimmer Biomet.
