The fee is applied towards your adoption; otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable and will be used by KHS to help additional animals in our care. Must be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment, and proper care for your adopted companion. Adoption fees vary by animal and are listed on each pet's profile. If you already have a dog and are looking for a new one, we offer dog-to-dog introductions to make sure both animals will get along!
Two counselors will control the dogs on separate leashes to create a neutral zone for both dogs in our play yard. Our counselors will look for positive and negative signs, see if the dogs do corrections, and if either dog shows signs of timidness or aggression.
Afterward, they will recommend whether or not they think the dogs will coexist at your home and counsel you on steps to make sure it goes smoothly! No appointment necessary, just visit us during business hours. The only time we cannot do dog-to-dog introductions is on event days.
