Around p. The call was placed by the victim's ex-wife who had gone to his apartment after she was unable to get in contact with him all day. On arrival, officers found the victim, who has not been identified, on the floor in the doorway with a large wound to his chest.
There was a dried red substance "all over the floor within the entrance of the apartment. An autopsy found the victim had 27 sharp force injuries to his head, neck, chest and upper extremities. The injuries included 15 stab wounds to the chest and one stab wound to the face.
Officers found dried blood in various places of the apartment, two bloody knives on the kitchen table and a third bloody knife on the kitchen counter. Dorr was in possession of methamphetamine when he was arrested. In an interview with police, Dorr admitted to stabbing the victim and his dog. Dorr said that he did not have a permanent address and stayed between the victim's apartment and the homeless shelter. Dorr told police he was having thoughts and seeing his daughter and his daughter's mother being raped and murdered and believed it was the end of the world. Dorr said he and the victim didn't fight and that they were talking and getting along prior to this.
