Just back and we are through Over 3, Hibs fans in a 7, crowd in a great, old fashioned stadium under the floodlights, what is not to enjoy. They gave us a game, we struggled a wee bit but Rocky scoring and Smudger in goals seen us through. Lovely, although there was enough chips to feed the 5, Parked up, chippy scranned, and a Ronald Villers moment when I washed it down with cold bottled water, off we headed to a classic Scottish Stadium, smart with its new East Stand, the place was packed and I am surprised they think there was only odd there, it seemed much more.
The main stand was split between Hibs and Ayr, with shared shunkies, shared tea bar and one steward who spent mair time chatting to folk than sstewarding, he telt me he was a hun but loved the fitba in general.
Never met a hun who called himself a hun, he was a decent guy. Before I talk about the game, can I just say I thought Ayr and their fans were excellent tonight. Plenty noise off the pitch and on the pitch they really did give us a game. They would be a welcome addition to the top league.
