Cadets assist frontline officers with administrative duties and through engagement with their communities by supporting crime prevention and public safety initiatives. Special Constables are civilian employees who have been given limited peace officer or police officer powers by the Commissioner for a specific job or task. This includes offender transportation officers, security officers, court officers and forensic identification analysts.
