Our educational zoo features over 75 exhibits of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates for you to learn about and see up close! Crawl through the alligator tunnel, touch a snake, use flashlights to find critters in our Invert Cave, complete a zoo scavenger hunt and more!
Our hands-on environment is welcome to all ages. No appointment is necessary; just come on over and explore! Guided tours are available at no additional cost on Sundays-Fridays at 12pm, 2pm, and 5pm, and Saturdays at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm.
Join a tour given by a zookeeper to learn about reptiles, touch several species, and maybe even get your hand licked by a tegu! Emily and sometimes Ed are available to meet fans from pm Saturdays β Sundays. This may change due to travel, so keep an eye on the Facebook page for updates. We fully support rescuing reptiles and amphibians in need, and thanks to our Adoption Island program we can take in surrenders and find them wonderful homes! Book your next birthday party or celebration at the Snake Discovery Zoo! Our classroom is available for birthday parties and private events, which includes an educational program AND admission to our reptile zoo for your entire group! Our off site programs are offered to libraries, schools, parks, senior living homes, scout meetings, and more!
