Lamborghini refuses to let the most successful car in its history go quietly, revealing a final facelift for the mainstream Gallardo and an edgier focus for its stripped-out, lightweight sprinter at the Paris show. Available from November, the new LP adopts the edgy, triangular front air intakes that define the V12 Aventador, and a more heavily-creased rear end.
At the rear, it retains the positioning of its four exhaust pipes, but Lamborghini claims the addition of the trapezoidal and triangular rear bumper components has added to the thermal efficiency of the LP by allowing engine bay heat to escape more easily. The German-owned Italian supercar maker has taken the hardcore Performante spyder and Superleggera coupe and made them even more extreme, in the form of the LP Edizione Tecnica.
