Contributions can be made in memory of a family member, friend, or in recognition of a special date, such as a birthday, anniversary, or other special event. These gifts can be directed to specific homes if you wish and you will receive a charitable tax receipt.
A planned gift is an alternative way to contribute. This method may offer certain tax benefits. It can involve bequests of life insurance, real estate or cash. Volunteering your gift of a specific skill or assistance in fund-raising or special events is a valuable contribution to the quality of life in our seniors homes. Grande Spirit Foundation has an account with Recycle Plus. If you would like to donate your refundable items to the Grande Spirit Foundation, take them to either Grande Prairie Recycle Plus location, bring your order to the attention of the cashier and give them our account Donations can be made through ATB Cares.
If your donation is in memory of someone special or is to be directed to a specific facility, please leave a comment during your transaction. ATB Cares will issue an automatic electronic tax receipt. Donations can also be made using PayPal.
You will be mailed an official tax receipt from the Grande Spirit Foundation when your transaction is completed. Representing 11 municipalities and with over dedicated staff, the Grande Spirit Foundation provides reasonably priced housing, quality care, and dignity to seniors and families. The municipal leaders of the region decided that a home for the Senior Citizens of the area was needed and in the first home was built. The generosity of the Peace region is outstanding. Since our volunteer group was founded, seniors have experienced that kindness firsthand. The Friends of the Grande Spirit Foundation was established in in response to a donation made by the estate of a resident, and the change in operating assistance by the government from full coverage to costs for basic services. The Friends of the Foundation saw an opportunity to enhance the lifestyle in the homes by donations, grants and fundraising.
