Then, I decided to join the program in IAE Angers to gain a broader knowledge and specialty in terms of human resources, as I intend to focus on HR as my career in the future. I was nervous about moving from Poland to France due to Covid restrictions at that time. However, the International Office was helpful and informative. They helped me with detailed information before, during, and after my mobility.
As an exchange student, the most important thing for me is to connect with the locals and experience the culture. I had a good time in Angers despite of the lockdowns and restrictions. In addition, I am also satisfied with the quality of the teachers.
They are experts in their fields and helpful towards the students. Reflecting on my time there, I can confidently say that it was an enriching and fulfilling experience that I will always cherish. From the moment I stepped foot in this vibrant city, I was eager to immerse myself in its culture, people, and all it had to offer. What made the transition even smoother was the invaluable support I received from the coordinators. Their guidance and assistance truly facilitated my settling into the city, for which I am immensely grateful.
As for the academic aspect of my exchange, the classes at the University of Angers largely met my expectations. Approaching them with an open mind, detached from any preconceived notions, allowed me to appreciate the depth and quality of education offered. While some subjects resonated with me more than others, as is typical in any university setting, I found the overall experience to be fulfilling and enriching. Life in Angers was a delightful revelation, reminiscent of my hometown of Szeged in Hungary.
The city pulsated with youthful energy and vibrant student life, offering an array of activities and events to partake in. Whether it was cultural festivals, academic seminars, or social gatherings, there was always something happening in Angers, ensuring that one never had a dull moment. In conclusion, my time as an exchange student at the University of Angers was nothing short of transformative.
