So pure in fact, that we encourage our customers to take a sip during their tour! Did you know that everyone can snorkel, you do not need certifications, only to know how to swim. All snorkelers get a warm undersuit and a drysuit so everyone is dry and warm during the snorkel trip.

Your day will begin at the Silfra meeting point , where our amazing guides will welcome you and give you a detailed briefing of the adventure you are about to embark upon. Then it will be time to gear up in the dry suit and make your way to the entry point a metal staircase that makes it super easy to gradually step into the water.
During your snorkeling tour, which will last about 30 to 40 minutes, you will explore the four main parts of Silfra and you will observe the fascinating rock formations and colorful algae that populate the fissure. There is no life in Silfra, except for the occasional fish that gets there after losing its way from the Thingvallavatn lake.
