Born in Barcelona, Daniel Navarro Lorenzo is an awarded international choreographer and dance artist. His creations pulsate with physicality and power, drawing spectators into a world where movement becomes a language of its own, speaking volumes about the human experiences. Anton is a professional artist and arts producer with 25 years of national and international experience as a performer, choreographer, producer, project director, dance filmmaker, movement director, rehearsal director and dance teacher.
She began a professional career in , joining Royal Ballet of Flanders at the age of 18 following graduation from the Australian Ballet School. In Ashley was promoted to demi-soloist with the company. In she created her first piece Better Left Unsaid for the choreographic workshop of the Royal Ballet of Flanders. In she collaborated with freelance dancer Jim de Block to create Knee Deep Sleep , which was reworked in to become a finalist at the International Choreographic Competition in Hannover.
She is interested in the simplicity of dance and the complexity of choreography. Utilising a visceral, instinctive attack, her work is immediate, often working with humour, everyday movement, text, repetition, deconstruction, duration and abstraction. Emma was the inaugural Dance Curator at Campbelltown Arts Centre — , where she curated over 40 new dance projects that examine community, location, exchange, culture, age and the interdisciplinary nature of making dance work.
Emma continues to develop her new work, Dancing With Myself , examining where her solo and group dance practices can intersect. She has created and set original choreography on companies, such as Lyon Opera Ballet and as a freelance artist has choreographed, danced and given workshops in different projects and countries around the globe.
