Faced with a lay off, she decided to make a career change and has never looked back! Services include relaxation massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, prenatal massage, hot stone massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and Reiki. She is the mother of two active boys, both involved in swimming and seasonal sports. Being a mom has taught Alyssa how to manage her time efficiently and care for herself. She enjoys reading, watching movies, jogging in parks alongside nature and helping others.

Before coming to Holistic Lakewood, Mica worked in a hospital setting where she specialized in oncology massage and manual lymph drainage. Mica enjoys spending time with her family and watching her son grow into a pretty awesome young man. She also enjoys reading, traveling when possible and watching her son play lacrosse. Mica describes her style of massage therapy as one that incorporates Swedish, myofascial release and oncology massage techniques to suit each person and each session, differently.
She hails from Puerto Rico and is a native Spanish speaker. When in Puerto Rico she took a seminar on five steps to helping people with touch and for many years after she would help stressed people with her touch. Then, one of her sons gave her a gift certificate for a massage. She feels joy that she is able to make her clients happy and relaxed through the power of massage.
Massage therapy runs in her family on both sides and has been a part of her life since she was a baby. As a therapist that has worked primarily with injuries and pain management, she takes an empathetic approach to her work to ensure the client gets the most out of their time.
