Experience - Essential. As a nurse or paramedic, you can have a career within the criminal justice system helping some of the most vulnerable people in society? No previous forensic experience required we will provide all your training. You must have the flexibly work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area. What does the role involve? The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same.
Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations. Making careful records on our computerised systems, you will be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime.
