Previously named Grassroots Development Program , The Skill Centre Program will place a higher emphasis on the individual player and ensure that the individual is placed into an appropriate training and competition environment. For players looking to develop their skills beyond the recreational level, these teams provide a higher level of training and competition. Your child will develop foundational skills and gain experience competing against local talent. The OPDL is the top level of youth soccer for players aged U13 to U17, with a standardized curriculum and high-performance standards.
OPDL teams are an important stepping stone for players aspiring to play in League1, college or university, or professionally. League2 is a development league that feeds into League1, and a pathway from youth soccer to semi-pro and professional competition.
It offers a high level of competition and opportunities to play against older and more experienced competition. League1 is the pinnacle of amateur soccer in Ontario. It attracts top talent from across Ontario and Canada, including college and university players, former pros, and aspiring young stars. League1 is a feeder league for professional opportunities in Canada and beyond!
